NETHERLAND DWARFS
My husband RJ has decided to give Netherland Dwarfs a try! He wants to work with primarily agouti varieties. We purchased a breeding trio at WI State Convention on 9/12/09. Thanks to KB Bunnies for our new Netherlands! This is a work in progress for us, as well as a learning experience. We're brand new to netherlands, and are excited to work with and learn about this cute little breed.
KB's Jewel: Jewel is a senior chestnut doe out of Z's Lance x KB's Zoey. Born 5/6/06. Cute little doe! She has nice head and ear, and good type. She is a bit bigger of a doe, but she will be used with the smaller buck we purchased.
Tabbatha's C: Escort, as my husband has decided to call her, is a black senior doe out of Avesing's Pit Bull x EM's Roe. Born 2/21/06. Escort is breeding stock only, and will be used with our buck. She wouldn't pose for us, so this is not the best pic. She is a bit long in the body, but we are anxious to see if our buck can fix that in future offspring.
Rosie's Pepper: Pepper comes to us from Heide's Hutches in MI. She is a 1 1/2 year old chinchilla doe. Very beautiful color, correct rings and nice type. She is much more rounded over the back than this pic makes her seem--again...lack of ability to properly pose these little guys, lol. We're learning and will get there. Anyway, she has a nice head as well. Good ear positioning, but they are a little long. Overall a nice little doe. Anxious to get our first litter from her. Thanks Evert for this nice little doe!!
KB's 7L: "Super Duty", as my husband has decided to name this buck, is a senior chestnut buck out of Hills V9 x CD's Sue. Born 5/10/08. Not a bad little buck! Good color, good rings. Nice head and ear, and not bad type. Good and small. Not the best pic as he wouldn't pose the best...or maybe it's just our lack of inexperience on posing netherlands (which my guess is the latter)....Anxious to see what we get out of him later this fall.
Heide's Ivo: Ivo is a black silver marten buck out of Bieling's Dirk and Rosie's Pepper. Born 12/1/08. Ivo is a nice little boy! Good type and nice head. Ears are good length, but they scissor so we are hoping that we can correct that in future offspring. Anxious to see what we get from this pretty little buck!
